Terms and Conditions

  1. Welcome and Membership Introduction

Welcome to the WoW Business and Social Network (ACN 87 610 712 956), also referred to as WoW, an organisation facilitating professional and casual networking for women and supporting local businesses.

You may be a Visitor if you are visiting our Website (https://wowbusinessandsocialnetwork.com.au/) or you may be a Member if you buy Services from us, such as a Membership or a paid Event.

We offer Business and Social Memberships, organise and facilitate in-person events, and provide promotional and marketing opportunities to our Business members through our platforms and services.

  1. About these Terms

By applying for Membership with WoW, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. It is important that you thoroughly read and comprehend these Terms before applying for Membership.

We commit to notifying you of any significant changes to these Terms and Conditions with no less than 14 days’ notice via email or newsletter. Such changes may include changes to fees and payment terms.

You may email us to review your circumstances if you do not accept the Membership terms.  Continuing to be a member after any terms have been modified will confirm you accept the revised terms.

From time to time, we may offer specific Events, opportunities for Members, and tailored Service offerings. If we do, there may be further terms that apply to those specific Services.

  1. About your Membership

Membership with WoW comprises two main categories:

  1. Business Membership
  2. Social Membership

The benefits of each Membership are detailed on our Website.  The individual benefits vary between a monthly and annual Membership for Business.  Joining as a Social Member does not give you access to any of the Business Promotion benefits.

These benefits may change from time to time based on various factors, including feedback from our Members, availability from our suppliers, and our current business strategy.

We may communicate these changes with Members via member platforms, email, newsletter, or at Events.

Additionally, we may introduce new Services or add membership benefits, with details outlined on our Website.

We may change the Membership Terms and Conditions at any time.

  1. Membership Payment

We offer different Fee options for Membership:

  1. Monthly option offered for Business and Social Memberships: if you choose to pay monthly, you pay via direct debit each month in advance and will receive the applicable benefits.  You agree to sign up as a Monthly Member for a minimum of six months.
  2. Annually: if you choose to pay annually, you agree to a 12-month minimum commitment and pay via direct debit every 12 months in advance and will receive the applicable benefits.

Your membership will automatically renew using the initial payment method at the end of your membership period (monthly or annually), for the same rolling period. In case of a declined payment, we will contact you for alternative payment arrangements that must be made prior to the renewal date.

You consent to WoW automatically charging your provided credit card for all outstanding amounts due and payable to WoW, which have not been paid within seven days after WoW has made a demand for payment for any such outstanding due and payable amounts.

If you want to terminate your Membership after the minimum terms stated above, you will need to contact us at least 14 days before it’s due to renew. If you cancel your membership, you can access Membership benefits until the end of your current Membership Period.

Prices on our Website are in AUD (Australian currency) and include GST (if it applies) unless we clearly state otherwise.

We reserve the right to increase Fees, with a minimum 14-day notice provided. If we change our Fees, the change won’t affect you until your next Membership Period.

You are not entitled to any refund of the Membership paid if you do not use the membership during your Membership Period.  There are no refunds available on your Membership at any time.

We reserve the right to cancel/terminate your membership at any time if we feel that your behaviour in person or online has warranted this.

If you have a query or dispute in respect of our membership, please contact us in writing at wow@businessandsocialnetwork.com.au

  1. Expectations

We encourage an environment of support and positivity among Visitors and Members. While WoW is not responsible for any disputes among Members and/or Visitors, we expect all parties to engage in respectful conduct. It is imperative that our platform is not utilised for any illegal or immoral purposes.

Each business and member is on a different journey, and therefore we can’t promise particular outcomes or results from becoming a Member, attending an Event or using our Website.

We expect that Visitors and Members do not promote a network or business that is in direct competition with WoW.  For the avoidance of doubt, WoW does not restrict any Member from being a member of another similar network.

However Members may not sign up or join our Network under another Network’s name or Socials.  Members may also not post other network events or contact our WoW Members with intent to recruit to another network.

  1. Events

Event tickets can be purchased online, subject to the following Event terms:

  1. Entry to an Event may be refused if Fees remain unpaid.
  2. Exclusive discount may be offered to Members.
  3. All Event ticket sales are final. No exchange, credit or refund will be given except in cases of Event cancellation or rescheduling. For clarification, no refunds will be provided for late arrival or personal dissatisfaction with the Event.

We know that sometimes life happens and understand you may need to transfer your Event ticket to someone else if you can no longer attend. To transfer your Event ticket, email us at least 48 hours prior to the Event with the guest’s name and email address. Please check the conditions for each Event as they may change at different Venues.  Your Confirmation email will provide these details.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or request a change in behaviour at Events.

We are not liable for any personal injury or loss suffered or incurred at any of our Events.

We enjoy sharing the fun of our Events online to encourage others to join our community, and this means Photos and Videos. When you attend an Event, you understand and accept that we will likely take Photos and Videos, and we may use these to promote WoW and our Partners. Should you terminate your Membership, your image may continue to be used in WoW promotional materials.

  1. Governing Law

By joining WoW, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria in relation to any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions.
